Advisory Board

First Move Productions has an Advisory Board since the end of 2022. Meet our members:

Alain Galaski

“What better than a documentary to bring to life both individual stories and wider societal issues? And how admirable when it has impact and creates change!”

Alain was Director General of the European Brands Association for 25 years until he retired in 2017. As such, he led industry-wide initiatives, including as Managing  Director of ECR (Efficient Consumer Response) Europe, a platform established to embed best practices for brand manufacturers and retailers, from its launch in 1994 to 2011. Others initiatives focused on sustainability, consumer policy, fair trading, fair competition and the protection of intellectual property.

Alain studied international relations and European affairs in Jerusalem and Strasbourg. He is now engaged in voluntary work with an intercultural and intergeneration  dimension, in particular for the international youth exchange programme AFS and as a mentor in social enterprise Duo for a Job.

Truus Huisman

“Movies and documentaries give us a different perspective, they allow us to discover new realities. They have the power to change hearts and minds. First Move does all of this. I’m proud to join this journey of discovery.”

Truus has over 25 years’ experience in Communications with a specialisation in Sustainability, Public Affairs and Issues Management. Before joining the IKEA  Foundation as Chief Communications Officer, she was part of Unilever’s European Leadership team in Rotterdam as VP Sustainable Business and  Communications.
